I used this platform a handful of times in my backyard for practice. Its bulky, heavy and difficult to get up the tree unless you leave it in your backpack. It mounts to the tree with a ratchet which sounds good until you a click clacking that thing in the middle of the silent woods. Also, I was never able to get the ratchet tight enough. No matter what, the platform would sag until its no longer upright which can be dangerous. After 4 or 5 practices I decided to take it into the woods. I climb up, pull it out, strap it to the tree, step on it and it almost dumps me out of the tree because the strap refuses to hold the patform against the tree. After deciding I didnt feel like falling out of the tree, I removed the platform and the ratchet broke. The last thing you want is to wake up early and get out in the woods just to be left disappointed.
